INTTRA reports 10% growth in South America

   Parsippany, N.J.-based multicarrier container shipping portal INTTRA, said it is now serving more than 50,000 containers a month in South America, representing 10 percent growth on a month-to-month basis this year.

   “Some carriers in Latin America are now doing up to 95 percent of their business via e-commerce,” said Andy Barrons, INTTRA’s vice president of marketing.

   INTTRA said its carrier network now represents more than 55 percent of the world’s ocean container capacity and includes: Alianca, ANL, CMA CGM, Deutsche Afrika-Linien, FESCO, Hamburg Sud, Hapag-Lloyd, “K” Line, Maersk Sealand, MCC Transport, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Mediterranean Shipping Co., NYK Line, P&O Nedlloyd, Safmarine Container Lines, Senator Lines, Tasman Orient Line and United Arab Shipping Co.
