ISS Australia acquires Christy & Griffin

   Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS), the world’s leading maritime services provider, is expanding its services into the maritime survey sector following its acquisition of Christy & Griffin, a leading marine surveying and consultancy business.
   This deal will not only expand its service profile into marine surveying, but also develop its goal of delivering a unique broad range of services to the maritime industry in Australasia, the company said.
   Christy & Griffin will continue to operate as an independent company, and all six permanent employees will remain with the business.
   “This new partnership will combine our existing network with Christy & Griffin’s core capability to offer world class marine surveying service combined with our wider geographical presence and integrated service range,” said Danny Rees, general manager, ISS Australia. 
   The company offers an extensive survey and consultancy range of ship and cargo surveys. Christy and Griffin’s diversity extends to bulk cargo handling, 3D stockpile mapping, land transport logistics. Together with ISS branch offices, it is now offering marine insurance inspections on a national scale.
