ITC: Chinese pipe imports hurt U.S. makers    The U.S. International Trade Commission on Thursday determined that imports of certain circular welded carbon quality steel line pipe from China injures domestic makers of similar product and agreed with the Commerce Department's determination that this commodity is sold in the United States at less than fair value.
   As a result of the ITC's affirmative determination, the Commerce Department will issue an antidumping duty order on imports of this product from China. The product is identified in the U.S. Harmonized Tariff Schedule subheadings 7306.19.10 and 7306.19.51.
   The ITC started the antidumping investigation on April 3, 2008. The agency received petitions calling for the action from Maverick Tube Corp. and Tex-Tube Co., both of Houston; U.S. Steel Corp. in Pittsburgh; and the United Steel, Paper and Forestry, Rubber, Manufacturing, Energy, Allied Industrial and Service Workers International Union.
