ITC to reconsider dumping duties for Indian, Thai shrimp imports    The U.S. International Trade Commission said it would reconsider a decision to impose antidumping duties on certain frozen shrimp imports from Thailand and India.
   In early January, the agency determined that certain non-canned shrimp from Brazil, China, Ecuador, India, Thailand and Vietnam injured domestic shrimpers because they were sold on the U.S. market at less than fair market value.
   At that time, the ITC cited concerns about the possible impact of the December 2004 tsunami on certain shrimp industries in India and Thailand. The ITC said in a statement Monday that there are “sufficient changed circumstances to warrant conducting reviews.”
   However, the ITC said the reviews will be “based on the factual record developed during the reviews and will determine whether revocation of the existing antidumping orders on imports of certain frozen warm water shrimp from India and Thailand would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury.”
   Details concerning the scheduling and conduct of the ITC’s changed circumstances reviews are being developed and will be announced in the near future and published in the Federal Register.
