JACKSONVILLE PORT AUTHORITY APPOINTS REPRESENTATIVE IN SOUTH KOREA

   The Jacksonville Port Authority has hired Chang Kwon Oh to market the port in South Korea.

   He will be based in Seoul. Oh has been in the shipping industry since 1970. He has worked for Hanjin Shipping and for a Korean freight forwarding company.

   The port authority aims to diversify the port’s participation in international trade lanes.

   In its fiscal year 2002, ended on Sept. 30, Jacksonville’s port imported about 182,000 metric tons of cargo from Korea, representing about 3 percent of a total 7.1 million tons of total cargo handled
