Jacksonville port confirms new board members

The Jacksonville City Council has confirmed the appointments of transportation industry veterans Dave Kulik and Andrew Fogarty to the board of directors for the Jacksonville Port Authority.

The new board members were appointed in October by Jacksonville Mayor John Peyton.

Kulik is vice chairman of CEVA Group Plc, the holding company for Netherlands-based CEVA Logistics and Houston-based CEVA Freight Management. He was previously global chief executive officer of TNT Logistics and served on the board of directors of its parent company, TNT NV.

Fogarty has been affiliated with CSX Corp. since 1989, and is special assistant to the chairman, acting as strategic counselor to CSX Chairman Michael Ward. He was the chief financial officer and senior vice president of finance for former CSX subsidiary Sea-Land Service, and has also been president and CEO of the former CSX unit CSX World Terminals, which was acquired by Dubai Ports World in late 2004. In addition, Fogarty is the former secretary of transportation for the Commonwealth of Virginia.
