Jafza said to be eyeing logistics hub in South Carolina Jafza International, a logistics subsidiary of the Dubai World Group, is rumored to be developing a giant $700 million logistics hub in Orangeburg County, S.C., according to a report over the weekend in the Times and Democrat.
   The story has Jafza buying all or part of an 800-acre parcel and developing it into a logistics facility that would be the biggest such job creator in state history — bigger than plants operated by BMW and Michelin.
   State officials believe total investment in the site could top $1 billion, while one of the owners of the land admitted to the newspaper that he has been in talks with the Dubai-based firm for several weeks.
   Jafza is the global consulting arm of the Jebel Ali Free Zone in Dubai.
