Jamaica plans to grow maritime sector
   Jamaica’s Minister of Transport and Works Mike Henry said Tuesday that his government 'considers the development and further growth of our maritime sector, as a major plank of its strategic plans to grow the economy and to provide employment.'

   In remarks at the International Maritime Organization, Henry said this will be achieved by providing for a range of professional services, facilitated by substantial investments in cruise and transshipment ports, global distribution and logistics centers, a maritime training institute, and marine administration with a “small but growing quality ship registry.”
