Jaxport names specialty cargo director

Jaxport names specialty cargo director    The Port of Jacksonville has promoted Alberto Cabrera director of trade development and marketing for non-container cargo.
      In the new position, Cabrera will work specifically with existing and potential customers in the roll-on/roll-off (Ro/Ro), breakbulk, and bulk
markets.
      Cabrera has been in the shipping industry for 16 years, most recently as the port’s manager of Latin American marketing and trade development. Prior
to that, he worked for Trailer-Bridge, Stevens Shipping and Navieras de Puerto Rico.
   “Alberto brings solid expertise and a very diverse background to Jaxport,” said Roy Schleicher, the port’s senior director of trade development, marketing and customer service. “The business contacts and relationships he has established within Jaxport’s bulk, breakbulk and Ro/Ro markets are of great value to Jaxport and will add to his success in his new role.”
