Jeffboat wins $100 million contract
American Commercial Lines Inc. said it has entered into a six-year, $100 million contract to build liquid and dry cargo barges for a customer it did not identify by name. Construction of the barges will begin this year.
American Commercial’s Jeffboat subsidiary is one of the two largest barge builders in the country.
