JOINT VENTURE TO MOVE HYUNDAI IMPORTS
Hankook Logitech Co. Ltd. and Hyundai Automotive Group, both of Seoul, Korea, have formed a joint venture to manage vehicle distribution to 1,200 Hyundai Motor America and Kia Motors American dealerships in the United States.
The new venture, HK Logistics America based in Costa Mesa, Calif., is expected to handle imports of more than 700,000 vehicles this year. The two companies are consolidating logistics activities at nine maritime ports and two inland processing centers.
