“K” Line completes majority purchase of ATEC
'K' Line said Wednesday it has completed a share transfer with U.S.-based logistics services company Air Tiger Express (ATEC), meaning the Japanese line now owns a 51 percent share of ATEC.The deal was first announced Jan. 29.
Air Tiger Express, headquartered in New York, was founded in Taiwan in 1976 by current chief executive Richard Chu, who moved the company to the United States in 1982.
'K' Line indicated Air Tiger Express would become part of the company's suite of international freight forwarding and logistics businesses. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
