“K” LINE, COSCO AND YANGMING ADD YANTIAN CALL TO ASIA/EUROPE SERVICE

   Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, China Ocean Shipping Co. and Yangming Marine
Transport Corp. are adding a direct call at the Chinese port of Yantian on their joint
weekly "AES/Loop 1" Asia/Europe service.
   For the alliance of Asian carriers, this is the first direct service between
north Europe and south China.
   The "K" Line vessel Weser Bridge will make the first call at
Yantian on Jan. 11.
   "K" Line operates all 8 vessels on the service.
   The full rotation is Rotterdam, Felixstowe, Bremerhaven, Le Havre, Singapore,
Hong Kong, Kobe, Nagoya, Tokyo, Yantian, Hong Kong, Singapore, Port Said, Rotterdam,
Felixstowe, Bremerhaven and Le Havre.
   In early December the COSCO/Yangming/"K" Line alliance also
included a call at Yantian on their weekly transpacific "PSW 2/CALCO-Y" service.
