“K” Line gets permission to set up Shanghai logistics firm

   Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. has received permission from the Chinese authorities to establish and operate a logistics company in Shanghai.
   To be named “Shanghai 'K' Line Z.F. Logistics Co., Ltd.,” the company will start operating in December., with a paid-in capital of $1 million.
   With 50 employees, the new company will provide freight forwarding, customs brokerage, trucking and warehousing services, covering air, sea and land transportation, as well as supply chain management services. Shanghai 'K' Line Z.F. Logistics will also be agent for Century Distribution Systems, Inc., a “K” Line subsidiary that provides buyers’ consolidation services.
   China Zhong Fu Enterprise Corp. is a joint venture partner of “K” Line in the Chinese logistics company.
