“K” Line in dry bulk venture with Noble

   The ocean carrier “K” Line and dry bulk charter company Noble Chartering Inc. (NCI) have entered into a joint venture agreement to operate several Cape-size bulk carriers beginning in July.
   The venture, to be called K Noble Hong Kong Ltd., is an extension of an existing partnership between the companies in which they’ve participated in a number of dry bulk projects, “K” Line said in a statement.
   “NCI AND “K” Line has identified major synergies between their respective Cape businesses,” “K” Line said. “These will provide the new operation with efficiencies and cost savings, and additionally with enhanced market knowledge.”
   The joint venture will be managed from Hong Kong. NCI is the dry bulk chartering arm of commodity trader the Noble Group.
