“K” Line launches auto logistics service in Chile

A new facility dedicated to vehicle logistics has been opened in the city of Noviciado, not far from the Chilean capital of Santiago.    KAR Logistics, a joint venture between “K” Line and Agencias Universales S.A.(AGUNSA), which handles logistics services in Chile and other South and Latin American countries, has begun an auto logistics service in Santiago, Chile, “K” Line confirmed Nov. 16. 
   KAR, which also runs its own fleet of GPS-equipped car transporters, has inaugurated a facility dedicated to vehicle logistics in the city of Noviciado, close to the Chilean capital, according to “K” Line.
   With the facility and equipment, KAR now offers an integrated logistics service for vehicles as well as transportation, storage, accessorizing and pre-delivery inspection.
   Customer requirements for services related to automobiles in Chile and other South and Latin American countries are showing continuous growth, according to KAR Logistics.
   “With the combined know-how of the two joint venture companies, KAR provides the required value-added service that can successfully satisfy the logistics needs for vehicles,” the company said in a statement.
   “K” Line said the new auto logistics service further enhances its existing services in Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, India, Australia, Brazil and Vietnam.
   “K” Line will continue to make every effort and do its best for achieving maximum customer satisfaction in Chile and other South and Latin countries by utilizing its many years of experience and know-how in sea transportation,” the company said in a statement.
