ôKö Line, PIL plan Asia/South Africa link
'K' Line' and Pacific International Lines said Wednesday they would break away from partner MISC Berhad to offer their own joint weekly service from Asia to South Africa starting from early March 2009.
The service with the Malaysian carrier will be dissolved at the same time.
The new service will employ seven vessels of 3,300 to 3,800 TEUs of capacity, with 'K' Line providing five and PIL the other two.
The new port rotation will be: Shanghai, Ningbo, Kaohsiung, Shekou, Hong Kong, Singapore, Port Kelang, Durban, Cape town, Port Kelang, Singapore, Hong Kong and Shanghai.
