“K” Line renews with GT Nexus

Online trade portal GT Nexus this week said that Japanese ocean carrier “K” Line has renewed and expanded upon its agreement with the Oakland, Calif.-based company.
   'K' Line has been using GT Nexus for eight years.
   'We have seen tremendous operational value, and e-commerce leadership is something our customers see as a differentiator in the market,' said Kazuhiro Matsukawa, deputy general manager of 'K' Line's containerships business group. 'We are looking forward to continuing our strong relationship with GT Nexus.'
   'Big shipper customers view technology as a vital aspect of a carrier's service mix,' said John Urban, president of GT Nexus. 'With GT Nexus, “K” Line customers can use the technology platform that the world's biggest shippers use to monitor and manage their global supply chains.'
   “K” Line operates or takes slots on 80 liner strings between Asia and Europe, North America, Central and South America, Australia, South Africa and Middle East. Its fleet has 99 container vessels.
