“K” LINE SETS UP JOINT IT SUPPORT COMPANY IN JAPAN

“K” LINE SETS UP JOINT IT SUPPORT COMPANY IN JAPAN

   “K” Line said it has decided to merge its 40-percent-owned subsidiary company KIS Corp. with TOPS Software Co., Ltd., effective January, to make it the sole information technology supporting organization among all “K” Line companies in Japan.

   KIS and TOPS Software are both information technology companies based in Tokyo.

   The newly established company will be named “K” Line Systems, Ltd. and consist of about 100 IT staff members. It will gradually take over related departments of all “K” Line group companies throughout Japan, becoming the group’s “dedicated IT company,” the Japanese group said.

   Satoru Kuboshima, a director of “K” Line, will be president of “K” Line Systems.
