Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (“K” Line) will deploy two new “cape-size” bulkers on the Australia/Japan and Atlantic routes.

A 200,000-ton class cape-size bulker, the “Cape Rosa,” will be mainly engaged in the transportation of iron ore and coal from Australia to Japan.

Another cape-size bulker, the 185,000-ton class “Cape Riviera,” has been handed to “K” Line’s affiliate “K” Line (Europe) Ltd. It will be engaged in transportation mainly in the Atlantic ocean.

“K” Line said it sees iron material transportation as “a promising sector” where growth will continue on a world scale.
