Kuehne + Nagel has agreed to take over a Dutch perishable goods logistics company, the global freight forwarding and logistics company said Thursday.

Subject to approval from competition authorities, K + N will acquire J. van de Put Fresh Cargo Handling, based out of Amsterdam.

The company specializes in handling perishable air freight cargo like flowers, plant cuttings, fruits and vegetables. Founded in 1976, it's located at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport, a major European hub main platform for perishable cargo.
