K + N expanding LCL services

K + N expanding LCL services    Logistics company Kuehne + Nagel said Wednesday it has introduced 18 less-than-containerload services linking Asia with Europe and North America.
   The new services, the company said, complement a raft of new such LCL services K + N started in mid-April, and bring the total number of direct services to 276.
   The new direct services are:
   ' Yokohama to Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver.
   ' Ningbo/Ancona.
   ' Busan and Ningbo to Barcelona.
   ' Hong Kong, Huangpu, Yantian, Shanghai and Ningbo to Bilbao.
   ' Hamburg to Chennai.
   New transshipment LCL services are:
   ' Singapore/Stockholm.
   ' Karachi/Colombo.
   ' Singapore/Jakarta.
   ' Penang/Singapore.
   ' Xiamen/Singapore.
   All the services are offered weekly, except for Singapore/Jakarta and Xiamen/Singapore, which are offered twice weekly.
   The new services underline a trend among the world's largest logistics companies to rapidly expand their LCL networks. K + N provides LCL services through its in-house non-vessel-operating common carrier Blue Anchor Line.
