K + N extends partnership with SAS Scandinavian Airlines

The partnership between third-party logistics provider Kuehne + Nagel and the international airline will include air-side locations and airplane parts transport through 2020.    Swiss-based third-party logistics provider Kuehne + Nagel Group has extended its partnership with SAS Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) through 2020, according to a joint statement from the companies.
   The partnership focuses on global external logistics services, with Kuehne + Nagel operating several global air-side locations,  as well as handling the international transport of spare parts for the SAS airplane fleet. The parts transport is a 24-hour, year-round service, ranging from aircraft engines to nuts and bolts, K + N said.
   “Logistics solutions for the aerospace industry are of strategic importance for Kuehne + Nagel,” said Jens Davidsen, Director Airfreight of Kuehne + Nagel Denmark, “The complex demands of our partner SAS require tailor-made door-to-door solutions. We are very pleased that SAS has extended the partnership with Kuehne + Nagel which started in 2006 for another three years. This is the result of the hard work of our team of experts and our long-term involvement and expertise in the aerospace industry.”
   Kuehne + Nagel specializes in ocean and airfreight logistics while SAS flies over 28 million passengers annually between Europe, Asia and the United States, thanks to their membership with Star Alliance.
