KATTEN MUCHIN ZAVIS ADDS PARTNER IN LOS ANGELES

The law firm of Katten Muchin Zavis has added David R. Stepp as a partner in the firm’s Los Angeles office.

This move enables KMZ to serve importers and exporters conducting business through the nation’s largest port of entry. Stepp joins a group of KMZ attorneys and customs trade and audit specialists in Chicago and Washington, D.C. with broad government and private practice experience in the evolving customs and international trade environment.

“Bringing David on board is an important first step in broadening the customs and international trade services we will offer clients through our Los Angeles office,” said Kathleen M. Murphy, co-chair of KMZ’s Customs and International Trade practice. “We plan to expand our multi-disciplinary Global Trade Advisory Group to include this office, which will enable us to offer clients practical, business-oriented approaches to evolving Pacific Rim trade issues.”

GTAG, a subsidiary of KMZ, comprises auditors, trade specialists, investigators, logistics and transportation specialists, economists and other professionals working under the supervision of KMZ attorneys, providing business and legal services for the customs and international trade community.
