Kauppi heads RWI’s Midwest sales

   Wilder, Ky.-based trucking company RWI Transportation has appointed Kevin Kauppi as Midwest regional sales manager.
   Based in Chicago, Kauppi focuses on new business in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, and Missouri for temperature-controlled truckload and tonnage growth. Through his efforts, RWI’s growth in the Midwest and in its West Coast, Texas, Southern Louisiana/Mississippi and New Jersey lanes will continue, the company said. 
   RWI is an affiliate of the Castellini Group of Cos., which is one of the largest distributors of fresh produce in the United States.
   Prior to RWI, Kauppi heldd positions at FFE Frozen Food Express, Sterling Transportation, SRT, Southern Refrigerated Transport, and Central Transport.
