Kay, a 26-year veteran of the Isreali ocean carrier, succeeds Tommy Stramer, who died suddenly July 29. Stramer headed Zim’s North American operations since October 2004.
Kay, 50, served as Zim’s executive vice president of marketing and sales for the past three years, and prior to that was the senior vice president of marketing and sales. Zim’s North American operation is based in Norfolk, Va.
