Keller to become NYK’s Americas VP

Keller to become NYK’s Americas VP    NYK has reshuffled its U.S. senior management.
   Peter Keller will become executive vice president and chief operating officer of NYK Group Americas on April 1.
   Keller will work with Tony Nozaki, president and chief executive officer of NYK Group Americas, in providing groupwide oversight and policy direction to the firm’s operating companies, which include NYK Line (North America) Inc., NYK Logistics (Americas) Inc., Ceres Terminals Inc. and Yusen Terminals Inc.
   Replacing Keller as president of NYK Line (North America) Inc. will be Tomoo Kitayama, who most recently served as executive vice president.

   Also effective April 1, William 'Bill' Payne will assume the position of executive vice president and chief operating officer of NYK Line (North America) Inc. Payne, who most recently held the position of senior vice president trade, has 20 years experience with NYK.
   “Periodically it is appropriate for us to adjust and prepare ourselves for the broader challenges we face as we continue to move forward, even in these difficult times,” Nozaki said.
   All three will continue to work from NYK Group America’s headquarters in Secaucus, N.J.
