Kelly to retire from MOL
Thomas Kelly, executive vice president and chief operating officer of MOL (America), will retire at the end of July, the Japanese container line said Friday.
Kelly joined MOL in July 1999 as the regional vice president for the Midwest region. In 2004, he was appointed vice president of North America operations, ascending to his current roles in 2006. Prior to joining MOL, Kelly held several director and vice president level positions at American President Lines and Lykes Bros. Steamship Co. Inc.
'Tom's leadership and tireless energy made it possible to develop a new structure for MOL's North American organization,' said Tsuyoshi Yoshida, MOL (America) chairman, president and chief executive officer. 'His extensive contacts with clients, vendors and partners have also contributed towards MOL's tremendous progress.'
