KENT LINE PROMOTES MANAGERS TO STRENGTHEN CANADIAN, U.S. MARKET PRESENCE

   Kent Line International, a Saint John, New Brunswick-based liner carrier, has made several promotions to strengthen its presence in Canada and U.S. freight markets.

   Will Martin, formerly manager of affiliate and corporate accounts, has been appointed regional manager for the Northeast and Midwest. Darren Swinemer will fill Martin’s former position.

   Normand Roy, based in Montreal, has been promoted to regional manager sales manager of central Canada. He was regional manager of Quebec.

   “We are currently extending our service offering to Canadian and U.S. markets,” said Keith Phillips, Kent Line's director of sales for Canada, the United States and the Caribbean.

   Kent Line, a subsidiary of the Irving Group of Cos., operates weekly, fixed-day liner service to Canada, the United States and the Caribbean. The carrier also operates breakbulk services from Canada and the United States to Northern Europe, the Mediterranean and the Caribbean.
