KIEN HUNG STARTS ASIA/INDIAN SUBCONTINENT/AFRICA LINK

   Taiwanese ocean carrier Kien Hung is starting a direct, fortnightly service connecting Asia and the Indian subcontinent to South and West Africa.

   The 1,354-TEU vessel “Bernhard Schulte” will commence the Far East West Africa service when it departs from Hong Kong on June 3.

   The fortnightly FEWA service will use five ships and call at Hong Kong, Jakarta, Port Kelang, Colombo, Durban, Cape Town, Lagos, Cotonou, Lome, Tema, Abidjan, Cape Town, Durban, Colombo, Port Kelang, Jakarta and Hong Kong.
