KLM CARGO CANCELS MIDDLE EAST FLIGHTS, PICKS SYNTEGRA SOFTWARE    KLM Cargo has canceled flights to a number of cities in the Middle East until April 14, as a result of the war in Iraq.
   On Monday, KLM said no cargo service would be offered between Amsterdam and Kuwait City, Kuwait; Amman, Jordan; Beirut, Lebanon; Damascus, Syria; Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; Bahrain, Bahrain; Damman, Saudi Arabia, and Doha, Qatar.
   KLM Cargo has also canceled flights from Holland to Tel Aviv, Israel, until April 6.
   The carrier said that, effective April 2, it would temporarily reduce its roundtrip services from Amsterdam to JFK Airport, New York, to seven from 11 per week.
   KLM Cargo also said it has contracted with Syntegra, a provider of systems integration solutions and a subsidiary of BT Group, for software to support the implementation of KLM’s Cargo 2000 management system.
   KLM will use Syntegra’s CargoChorus Route Management Service, which enables airlines and freight forwarders to assess the quality of their service against pre-determined standards.
   Syntegra’s application defines a route plan for every movement of a shipment, sets milestones, and monitors actual performance against the plan.
