KLM REPORTS DROP IN AUGUST LOAD FACTOR
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines said its August cargo load factor fell 5.9 percentage points to 64.4 percent, blaming weak economic conditions in Asia.
Revenue cargo ton-kilometers declined 5 percent to 3.14 million. Inbound traffic was fell 7 percent, while outbound slipped 3 percent.
For the fiscal year starting April 1, cargo load factor has decreased 3 percentage points from the year-earlier period. Traffic fell 2 percent to approximately 1.6 billion cargo ton-kilometers in the same period.
