K+N takes over Bayer’s logistics in Chile

   The Chilean division of German pharmaceutical giant Bayer Healthcare has selected global third party logistics provider Kuehne+Nagel to manage logistics activities in country, including warehousing, laboratory testing for imports, quality control, repackaging and labeling and distribution.
   K+N, the second largest freight forwarder in the world, said it will handle all of Bayer’s products as well as products of other medical companies that partner with Bayer. 
   Company staff will operate Bayer’s primary facility near Santiago. The site has five cool areas for temperature-controlled products. 
   K+N has nine major logistics customers in the healthcare sector, according to industry consultanting firm Armstrong & Associates. – Eric Kulisch
