Kuehne + Nagel has broken ground on a 30,000-square-meter expansion to its 45,000-square-meter facility in Geel, Belgium, to further support its contract logistics business in the country.
Completion of the 20,000-square-meter first phase of the project is slated for October. This additional space will be used partly for two clients secured last year — a coffee machine supplier and a toy manufacturer. The second phase, which will be specifically geared toward the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, will come at a later date. – Jon Ross
