K+N to use Transporeon’s TMS in Europe

Third-party logistics provider Kuehne + Nagel said it will use a transportation management system from Transporeon to handle execution and visibility for its truckload and less-than-truckload shipments in Europe.    The Switzerland-based third party logistics company Kuehne + Nagel said Wednesday it will use a transportation management system (TMS) from Transporeon to handle execution and visibility for its truckload and less-than-truckload shipments in Europe.
   K+N said that Transporeon’s TMS is already used by over 57,000 carriers in their day-to-day operations.
   “This partnership will allow carriers to use one integrated platform instead of signing up for multiple market places. A proven on-boarding process will allow Kuehne + Nagel to easily connect with additional carriers,” K+N said. “The carriers will have real-time access to Kuehne + Nagel’s transport requirements across Europe and be able to quickly respond to the demand with their available capacity.”
   The logistics company said roll-out of the TMS will begin in France, one of Kuehne + Nagel’s key trucking markets, by the end of September 2016.
