Korean Air starts Seoul/Miami service

Korean Air starts Seoul/Miami service    Korean Air started the first of its new Seoul/Miami cargo flights on Friday. Initially the service has a weekly frequency before Aug. 22 switching to twice/weekly with departures from Seoul every Tuesday and Friday.
   “The newly-launched cargo service between Seoul and Miami is expected to improve transport services for not only cargo leaving or arriving at Miami but also that of Central and South America,” Korean Air said.
   Korean Air has agreements with Lan Cargo, Cielos del Peru and other Central and South American airlines to transport cargo departing or arriving in Latin America, directly to or from Miami.
   The airline said that previously most cargo heading for Miami or Central and South America was transported by air to New York, Chicago and Atlanta and then trucked or carried by other airlines to final destinations.
