Kraft supply chain executive joins Kalstar

Kraft supply chain executive joins Kalstar    Third-party logistics provider Kalstar Enterprises has appointed Tom Kimball as vice president operations and innovation.
   Kimball will focus on streamlining Kalstar's Procter & Gamble operations and improve the consumer goods company's supply chain performance.
   Kimball was senior director of network demand and inventory management at Kraft Foods, where he recently led an SAP Business Process Management team.    The team used mapping tools to redesign process flows to improve Kraft's order fill capabilities and increase truckload use. He served in various management roles at Kraft during his 22-year tenure.
   Kalstar, a sister company of Scranton, Pa.-based trucking firm Kane Is Able, helps consumer packaged goods companies distribute goods to retail customers.
