Kuehne + Nagel adds Maldives to Asia-Pacific network

Kuehne + Nagel said Tuesday its Asia-Pacific network now includes the Maldives after the Swiss logistics firm opened two offices on Mal' and Gan in mid-February.

The company said it is the first international logistics provider to operate a wholly owned subsidiary on the island nation that is home to more than 100 hotels and resorts, and is one of the key exporters of fresh and aquarium fish.

Kuehne + Nagel’s Maldives company specifically caters to the requirements of the hospitality industry, providing hotel and beverage logistics services, as well as general imports of consumer goods, international sea and air freight services, warehousing, project management, and emergency and relief logistics.

The company’s Asia-Pacific region now spans 141 locations in 21 countries.

“With the extension of our network in almost every part of the region we are well positioned to respond to market and customer needs, continuously improving the scope of our services,' said Andy Weber, managing director of Kuehne + Nagel (Asia Pacific) Management Ltd.
