Kuehne + Nagel expands in Duisburg
Kuehne + Nagel said it has begun construction of a distribution center in Duisburg, Germany's harbor area.
The company said it will enlarge warehousing facilities in Duisburg by about 28,000 square meters (300,000 square feet.) The logistics company said it expects to start operations in the new distribution center for a large consumer health care customer by May 2011.
'Duisburg has proven itself as a central European logistics hub. Including the new facility we will have 150,000 square meters warehousing space under management,” said Hans George Brinkmann, managing director of the German Kuehne + Nagel organization and regional manager Central Europe.
