Kuehne + Nagel opens office in Hobart, Australia    Kuehne + Nagel International AG has opened an office in Hobart, located in the Tasmania region of Australia.
   The Swiss forwarding and logistics services provider said the new office will help to expand its less-than-containerload and related logistics activities, as well as increasing its presence in the region.
   “By offering dedicated weekly LCL services directly from Hobart, and bypassing the traditional consolidation point in Melbourne, to major ports in Asia, Europe and the United States, importers and exporters in Tasmania can benefit from the substantial reduction in freight costs and transit times,” Kuehne + Nagel said.
   Kuehne + Nagel has been operating in the Australian market since 1971 and has about 300 employees at six branches.
