Kuehne + Nagel to manage Pirelli TireÆs North American logistics
Pirelli Tire, a provider of high-performance vehicle tires, has contracted with Kuehne + Nagel, a Swiss freight forwarding and logistics company, to manage Pirelli's supply chain activities in North America.
Under terms of the contract, Kuehne + Nagel will handle the inbound receipt, storage and distribution of Pirelli tires to customers.
The tire maker has a new plant in Rome, Ga., that uses three modular integrated robotized system modules in its production operation.
