Kursiu Linija to consolidate U.K. calls to Immingham    Lithuanian European short-sea carrier Kursiu Linija will early this month consolidate all of its United Kingdom port calls at Immingham instead of using both Ipswich and Teesport.
   As a result of the change, the sailing frequency of its U.K.-Rotterdam to Baltic service will be increased to every four days from weekly. Two vessels of 300 to 400 TEUs will instead call Immingham, Rotterdam, Klaipeda, Liepaja and back to Immingham.
   “This change is the first of a series of schedule enhancements which will see us giving our industrial and retail clients both faster and more frequent transportation on a wider network of routes. This will be achieved whilst maintaining the reliability and security which has been the bedrock of our expansion,” said Martin Dale, Kursiu Linija’s commercial director.
