OTL said that waiting times have dropped from 20 days in February to around five days currently. Aside from a drop in volume due to lower cargo demand, some long-stay containers clogging the port have also been shifted to Onne, another port in Nigeria.
'Further containers may be moved also to Ikorodu, (a Nigerian Ports Authority) site in Lagos previously used for import decongestion exercises,' the line said.
