LAN-Argentina plans direct Miami flight

LAN Argentina said Monday it plans to begin offering its first non-stop flights between Miami and Buenos Aires in August.

   'We are proud to announce the beginning of LAN Argentina's first international operation.    This new step constitutes a very important moment for the growth of the company in the country.    To unite Buenos Aires and Miami with this non-stop flight allows us to offer our passengers and cargo clients a valuable and competitive service, which will operate with the highest standards of quality, safety and service that distinguish all of the airlines of the LAN alliance,' said Dami'n Scokin, CEO of LAN Argentina.

   The direct Miami service, which also marks to incorporation of Boeing 767-300 aircraft into the fleet, begins August 15. The new service will offer Miami departures every morning at 9 a.m., with the Buenos Aires flights departing at 10:15 p.m.
