Jacksonville-based transportation and logistics services company Landstar System Inc. has been selected as one of Fortune magazine's 'America's Most Admired Companies in 2007.'
Landstar, a non-asset-based company that uses a network of third-party transportation providers as well as a mix of over-the-road, air, ocean, and rail moves for domestic and international customers, was selected for the fourth straight year based on criteria developed by the national business magazine. Criteria included innovation, people management, use of corporate assets, social responsibility, quality of management, financial soundness, long-term investment, and quality of products and services.
Landstar ranked third nationally in the magazine's transportation division.
