Larson retires as Port of Longview commissioner

Larry Larson, commissioner of the Port of Longview, Wash., Tuesday announced his retirement from the specialized breakbulk handling port after 29 years in the role.

   Larson was appointed commissioner in June 1978. He also worked as a registered longshoreman for more than 40 years. Combined, his years of service to the port total 50 years.
