Laufer Group expands K.C. operations

Laufer Group International has opened an expanded customs bonded container freight station in Kansas City, Mo.

   At the 50,000-square-foot facility, Laufer will provide importers with comprehensive domestic drayage and delivery programs, customs clearance, short- and long-term warehousing options, cross-docking/transloading as well as other consolidated freight services.

   The New York-based company said in a statement that the new Kansas City facility would continue to offer its Asia-Midwest Direct Consolidation program serving the states of Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Arkansas and Oklahoma.

   For more than 20 years, Laufer has had an established Chinese logistics network including Shanghai, Ningbo, Yantian, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong, as well as Taiwanese facilities in Kaohsiung, Keelung and Taichung.
