Le Havre acquires three more container cranes

   Three large container gantry cranes have been delivered to the north terminals of the port of Le Havre. They will be used at the “Quai des Am'riques” and “Quai de l’Atlantique” berths of the French port.

   Two gantry cranes ordered by Europe Atlantique Terminal at the port are “over-Panamax” gantries capable of operating as twin-lifts on ships 18 containers wide. They are equipped with a maximum lifting capacity of 60 tons under spreader.

   The third crane, ordered by terminal operator CNMP, can operate on ships 20 containers wide with deck loads eight containers high. In addition, it is equipped with a maximum lifting capacity of 64 tons under spreader.

   The port of Le Havre said it has taken delivery of eight new container gantry cranes this year.
