Leasing company to buy new Boeing freighter

Boeing Co. said aircraft leasing firm Guggenheim Aviation Partners ordered four 747-8 freighters, with an option to buy two more planes.

Delivery of the planes, valued at $1.12 billion at list prices, will begin in 2009.

The 747-8 is a stretch version of the 747-400 in use around the world. Boeing has received 44 orders for the new planes since they became available in November.
