I have been in the hay export business for 32 years. During that time I have enjoyed the relevant input to shipping issues provided by American Shipper. I was especially thrilled to read your excellent editorial (January issue, page 48) regarding the port issues we are dealing with. This has been a disastrous affront to so many businesses which depend on scheduled deliveries to satisfy their customer needs.
I applaud you for helping bring this issue to light. Many hay companies are laying off personnel due to this debacle and losing millions in revenue. By raising the awareness of what is going on I believe you are part of the ultimate solution. Many thanks for a timely and informative piece.
